I just went “foraging” through my fridge. The definition of forage is to search over an area in order to obtain something, especially food. I have a LOT of stuff in my fridge. I cook a lot, so things tend to get pushed to the back and I forget about them. So, it’s actually kind of fun digging through my fridge to see what I can find.
I knew I had some goat cheese in there that needed to be eaten, as well as some cream cheese that had been in there for a while. The idea popped in my head to make a dip with the cheeses by adding some chipotle tabasco sauce and jam. I had so much fun, and it came out great! Both my husband and I loved it! I LOVE putting a spiritual spin on things. Here’s what I came up with from this scenario. We all have ingredients within ourselves (gifts, skills, talents, and experiences) that sometimes get pushed to the back and forgotten. Sometimes you have to dig deep - go all the way to the back, open up things that aren’t initially recognized, to find that tucked away gem that is an answer to prayer, or something that can be used to improve a part of your life.
